Discover some royal connections with Lincolnshire in this presentation which will look at English monarchs who have visited the county or have connections with the local area. This session will focus on the visit to Lincoln and Gainsborough by Henry VIII in 1541 when he brought his new wife Katherine Howard on a northern progress to York. 


Find out what life was like in a Tudor court and the pressures on the local host to entertain. There will also be opportunity to handle replica objects from the Tudor period.
