Friday, 26th August 2011 - Student Arrival Day
We won't let the weather spoil our parade - yep, its raining at Harlaxton.
4:00 - We're coming to get you! Dr Taylor, Dr Bujak and Heather Elam will be your shepherds this morning. As you can see, you won't miss them.
10:00 - The Fall 2011 arrivals have begun! So far we have had no problems at Heathrow airport and the first coach (bus) of 48 students has just left and should arrive at Harlaxton at about 12:30-13:00. We have also started to receive a few independent arrivals.
11:00 - The second coach (bus) has left Heathrow and should arrive at Harlaxton at about 13:30-14:00.
12:00 - The third and final coach (bus) has left Heathrow and will be here around 14:30-15:00. We have 5 students that did not arrive or meet the group as scheduled. The first coach (bus) will be arriving in about 15mins.
12:23 - The first coach (bus) has arrived and the students have had a brief introduction from Dr Kingsley before lunch and settling in.
14:10 - The second coach (bus) has arrived.
15:45 - The third and final coach has arrived. We still have a number of independent arrival to come but we are nearly complete for the semester.
18:30 - All students have arrived except some independent arrivals who are scheduled to arrive later.

Wednesday, 24th August 2011 - Faculty Arrival Day
06:00 - Our very own Dr David Green left Harlaxton to collect our Fall 2011 faculty
11:00 - No problems in spite of the flight delays on the East Coast of the USA and the faculty are now on their way to Harlaxton. We expect arrival at about 14:00. You can find full details of our Fall 2011 faculty on our website.
13:00 - The faculty have arrived and we are glad to see them. Today they will be getting settled and getting to know the manor. Then, tomorrow, faculty orientation begins as does last minute preparations for student arrivals on Friday.
